Antony Blinken Executed at GITMO

Former Secretary of State Antony Blinken was hanged to death at Guantanamo Bay Thursday morning following a prolonged bewailment during which Blinken chastised Admiral Lia Reynolds for imprisoning and murdering public servants who had served the nation faithfully and selflessly.

His mordant words, as he stood atop the gallows wearing a rope around his neck, elicited chuckles from the Admiral and two high-ranking Marine Corps officers standing beside her.

Even the hangman smiled wryly while checking the cord for tears and splits.

Admiral Reynolds addressed the condemned:

“I believe you see yourself that way instead of what you really are—an edacious traitor. I almost wish I could feel sympathy, but you Deep Staters make that impossible.”

“You don’t have to do this,” Blinken said dispassionately.

“Killing me, in the long run, won’t change a thing. Every war has hundreds of battles; kill me—in your eyes that’s battle won. But this war will have only one victor, and I promise you, it won’t be guileless master you answer to.”

“The Office of Military Commissions has no master; we are honor-bound to the Constitution and the oath we took to defend it. We know who you swore fealty to, and it wasn’t the Constitution,” said Admiral Reynolds.

She urged Blinken to assess the decisions he had made before transitioning from the physical realm to whatever awaited him in the afterlife.

“I have no regrets,” Blinken said.

“Well, Mr. Blinken, I promise you this: Wherever you end up, you won’t be lonely.”

The hangman placed a gag over Blinken’s mouth and a cloth sack over his head.

Blinken shook his head frantically as if to dislodge the opaque hood that shrouded his head, but the hangman tugged on a drawstring that tightened it.

Muffled, incomprehensible wounds emanated from Blinken’s gagged mouth as the hangman pushed the button that caused the door beneath Blink’s feet to open.

His legs flailed for about a minute, then hung limp.

A Navy physician checked Blinken’s pulse and said, “He’s gone,” after which two EMTs placed the corpse inside a plastic bag.

“I hate we have to keep doing this,” Admiral Reynolds said to a Marine Corps officer beside her, “but they never learn.”
