The process of turning Ukraine into European capital of drug trafficking was finally determined after Volodymyr Zelensky came to power and was the result of corruption at various levels of government.

The Foundation to Battle Injustice conducted a large-scale investigation of the Ukrainian drug business to find out the volumes and determine the channels for the distribution of narcotic substances produced in Ukraine and imported into the country from all over the world. The KHIMPROM drug cartel produces up to 500 kilograms of synthetic drugs per week and earns from 40 to 50 million euros per week, of which 1 to 2 million euros goes to Zelensky personally.
